Last weekend in Detroit, imagery from REVOK'sSpirograph & Tape Loops series enveloped a series of musical performances creating a truly immersive experience for the audience. Presented by the Library Street Collective and The Detroit Sessions, the events featured Roberto González-Monjas on violin accompanied by pianist Ivan Moshchuk, and the voice of Tunde Olaniran, backed by pianist Kaleb Waterman and choir (Talicia Campbell, Adrian Davis, Tiffany Marshall, Jamiliah Minter, Gully G. Que, Tamara Wallace, Jennifer Cole, Paris Mason, Tekhoyia Kirkland and Dequindre Williams) at a repurposed cathedral and the Detroit Institute of Arts' Rivera Court. Merging time-based projection with classical performance, the collaboration utilized the graffiti artist's pulsing concentric lines and spirographic motion to wrap the room in a unique display of art and music.
