After an inaugural showing last year in Los Angeles (covered), it was only a matter of time before the BEYOND THE STREETS hit what many consider one of the birth places of graffiti in the US. New York's version of the exhibition (curated by Roger Gastman) celebrating graffiti, street art, and beyond once again features a stunning roster of some of the most well known and seminal artists in the genre. Ranging from paintings, sculptures, photography, mural art to site-specific installations from 100+ artists, posting all the photos would probably break our website so check it out yourself if you are will in New York before the end of August. For now, enjoy some highlights below including what was the launch of Shepard Fairey’s (interviewed) 30th anniversary exhibitions opening up around the world (see Paris here).
