500 Strong.

I feel a lot of pressure to make my 500th post a good one, but frankly I am feeling a bit spent this morning. So instead of dazzling you with something complex I’m just going to share a great new find with my Boston area readers.
Yesterday I went over to Chestnut Hill to pop into The Container Store. I was feeling like I needed to get organized and going there always inspires me to do so (and ends up costing me an arm and a leg). However, once I got over to that little shopping plaza hugging Route 9, I spotted a new store I had heard some chatter about, Portobello Road. I recalled reading/hearing something about jewelry and fresh flowers. Win/win.
This place is super charming, and so much more than I expected. They carry fantastic clothing lines that aren’t run of the mill, artisan jewelry and bags, John Robshaw and Thomas Paul bedding and pillows, some really unique furniture from Mohr & McPhearson and lots of luscious candles. I fell in LOVE with the Dayna Decker candles– amazing smells, wood wicks that crackle, elegant glass containers and soy based wax. Fabulous, if you can justify $70 for a candle, which sadly, I could not. Definitely worth popping in if you are out this way!
