Instead of anything material this year, I told Andrew all I wanted for my birthday was to go back to Nantucket for a night. So on Thursday we hopped on the ferry and went over on what had to be the most beautiful day of the summer!

Of course I had to pay a visit to my favorite house on the island, Hunky Dory, which is just amazing.

The little guest house on the property (I mean, how cute is that?)

This house across the street has such a perfect color combo- including the plants in the window boxes!

The hydrangeas were in full bloom and looked fake they were so abundant!

The beautiful Gate House inn. We stayed around the corner at 21 Broad, which is great!

Is there anything more charming than the cobblestone streets of downtown Nantucket???

I saw these in a window and audibly swooned.  SO GOOD.

I have to so, my favorite store on the island had to have been Atlantic (no website-sorry)- a combination of antiques and cool bohemian clothing and jewelry. I found so many things I loved.

I wanted these carved wood dog heads mounted on green plaques, but alas, they were $1,800 for the pair (ooof- or more specifically- woof!)  This chest was also AMAZING.

Such great vignettes everywhere you look- really, it’s a spectacularly curated shop.

I would KILL to put these old pendants in a kitchen. Holy statement fixtures!

This mirror would be a showstopper in any room- and this gilt oval mirror had wonderful patina.

This carved plaque was pretty incredible too- over a bed with no headboard perhaps?

John Rugge Antiques drew me in with this INSANELY cool and unique light fixture.

Then I fell head over heels for these nightstands.

And this single barstool.

I loved many things in Nantucket Looms, specifically this woven rope chair- perfect for a sunroom. Like, my sunroom maybe.

I also love the simplicity and pale blue detail on this dinnerware of theirs. So clean, classic and with a handmade feel.

And as if this island needed more charm we came across this woman selling floral arrangements out of this truck, and she told us she raised five children by doing that!

So Andrew bought me one, since it was my birthday and all, and I was having a meltdown over the cuteness of this whole mini basket situation.

We met some great friends at the Wauwinet lawn for sundown cocktails- it’s the most peaceful place on earth, I think.

And the house those friends bought  on the island contains this ADORBS garage on the property. I’d happily live in a garage like this.

All in all, it was awesome. I just love that island!  Although I got super tired very fast walking around pregnant, it was still the perfect way to spend my birthday!
