An Inspired Fall Wedding.
I was taking a walk through the Arnold Arboretum behind my house yesterday and brought along my camera. There is a section of it- the Leaventritt Vine Garden, that every time I walk through it I hear “wedding! wedding! wedding!” in my head. It has the most perfect natural aisle and modern platform building for cocktails afterwards! So I decided to put together a fall wedding inspiration board using this location as the jumping off point- mixing vintage inspiration with natural elements to create an uber-romantic mood:
I wanted the event to have lots of nature references so I chose a gown by Lela Rose (my favorite wedding gown designer of current) that had appliqued florals. It’s paired with this vintage inspired (and affordable) shoe and a luxurious faux fur shrug.
Using the gorgeous picture of the burnt rose and deep purple plant above I created this bridesmaids outfit. Loving the unexpected color combo of the J.Crew dress, Anthro necklace (aptly named Autum’s Bounty) and pashmina. Seeing as it might be really hard to walk on the grass in heels I put them in brocade flats!)
I would love to use these invites (but in the custom dusty lilac and burnt rose colors seen above) by Bird & Banner- printed on wood!
The feeling I’m after:
