I saw this AMAZING shot of a black bathtub in the newest Rue Magazine and it reminded me how much I love the look of a classic tub outfitting in my favorite colors. As we were planning our new master bath we had to forgo a tub, mostly because of space restraints but also because I rarely take baths (however, which comes first, a love of baths or an amazing bathtub?) I hope someday I can have a tub like this but for now a girl can dream…

So I rounded up my favorite images of black bathtubs for some inspiration…

( I mean, the cuteness is too much!)

Also, I have an incredible love of outdoor tubs so this one hits BOTH targets!

Here are a few black tubs for you to peruse online to purchase new.  Another option is to scour salvage stores and antique building supply companies for vintage clawfoot tubs and have them refinished. It’s such a great option as you get a truly antique styled tub (cast iron possibly, which keeps water nice and warm) and most likely the whole process will cost you less than a new fancy tub!
