My house barely has an entry- when you open the front door it nearly hits the stairs so we just have a little coat hook rack on the wall and that’s about it! Someday I hope to have a slightly more spacious entry, and totally LOVE drooling over other peoples- grand, small, formal and casual. The entry is the introduction to your home, so it should say a little bit about your style. I am madly in love with this entry shot from Veranda’s spread of designer Andrew Brown’s adorable, eclectic cottage in Birmingham, Alabama. It’s such a nice balance of interesting and simple. The layered art, the sleek but interesting tortoise-shell patterned console and heavily textured basket really adds up to something beautiful.
So I tried to recreate it for you, using retail goods and hint of vintage!
Here are some of the other rooms in Brown’s home- he really knows how to layer!
