Fashion Friday: Painterly Inspiration

This week I received a delightful surprise in the mail from Kelly Wearstler– one of her new scarves from her collection!  Between the divine packaging and GORGEOUS product (I’m wearing it right this second) I was so impressed and in LOVE! But really, what else do you expect from the goddess of design? But painterly patterns are showing up in many collections and areas of design!

Some more from her collection

A funky dress in a looser pattern (and displayed in a hella cool way!)

On the spring 2012 runway of Donna Karan this pattern was still prevalent! So we know it’s still be hot next year, which is great if you see a piece now on sale!

Like everything else in fashion, this translates into the home as well, especially in Jim Thompson’s No. 9 line.
