I have never been a “shoe” girl. I don’t know why but it was never my thing. Bags and coats were much more the item I would spurge on and buy lots of.  But recently I have not only slowly become into shoes… I’ve become into NICE shoes OR very cheap shoes.  This extreme probably makes no sense but I feel like the pairs that linger a long time in my closet are from Target (gold flat sandals, suede moccasins) or are really nice (one hand me down pair of Jimmy Choos and Brian Atwood sky high nude heels that make me over 6 feet tall!) I also noticed that all my shoes are black, brown or gold….or leopard. I rarely take shoe risks in bright colors… except for one random Rue La La purchase of neon blue ankle wrap Kathryn Amberleigh heels that I wore the other night… and was stopped by girls repeatedly asking where they were from!

So this leaves me with few pairs I actually wear and I am now in DESPERATE need of SHOOOOOEESSSS!  So here are some dream pairs I covet as well as some cheapy pairs that may last just as long (you never know!)

A classic I desperately need- black pumps. I own not one pair right now as my favorite pair was demolished beyond repair by the South End’s cobblestones. I think this is where I could splurge and maybe finally get a pair with red soles- the classic Louboutin Pigalle or this pair by Prada that Garance Dore RAVED about.

I want more bright shoes in my life!  This is where I would most likely NOT splurge too much, but a girl can dream…like about these hot pink Atwoods. But it’s more likely I would pick up these cobalt pumps by Aldo.

Also loving these Cole Haan heels and these Dolce Vita red suede numbers, also more reasonably priced!

Loving these Target finds- leather and natural wedges (under $25) and these nude mini wedge gladiators (under $20)! P.S. Is it just me or are these last ones the exact same as these Steve Maddens for way more???

Speaking of tan leather, you can not have a more important shoe in the spring/summer than tan or nude strappy sandals that you can actually walk in, like these Jeffrey Campbells or these Modern Vintage ones.

And lets not forget the all powerful gold flat sandal that goes with everything! Totally loving J.Crew’s new Audra sandal (in lots of colors, actually) and these Corso Como flats (great, long lasting brand).

I think that ballet flats are a place you can spurge too- as they tend to last mich longer than delicate heels.  If I could I would snap up these leopard Loubs and nude/black Chanels in a second (I did find very good copies of the Chanels here though).

How about some fun navy and white nautical stripes for summer? In high wedges or flats!

I love casual, preppy looks for weekends spent in the country or by the sea…like these Converse slip ons and espadrilles!

Madewell has some really cute kicks this season too!

What about you? What shoes are you coveting this season??
