I’m Lovin’ It

Designing custom furniture is both thrilling and scary- thrilling because you can create something totally custom for a space and scary because it’s your responsibility for it to come out exactly perfect.  Many sleepless nights have been spend pondering dimensions, angles and heights. I designed a custom settee for a client for her dining area (to be paired with a large oval Saarinen tulip table-swoon) covered in the AMAZING mocha colorway of Schumacher’s chiang mai dragon.  I wanted it to be modern but traditional and curve in the front to mimic the curve of the table.  Nail heads were a must because, well, I am obsessed with nail heads and the detail they add.  So finally yesterday it arrived and it’s perfect!!! Some quick Blackberry pics….
