As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to appreciate something I always though was a waste of money- good sheets and bedding. I’ve long been a discount store shopper when it came to sheets, but after getting my first set of high end sheets and seeing my bargain bin ones pill and wear terrible I became a convert. So when one of our favorite vendors, Annie Selke told us about her new bedding line, Annie Selke Luxe, and offered to send over some bedding to try I was psyched (and so was Oliver).
The designs are classic and made by some of the finest mills in Europe. I chose the Piazza duvet and king shams in Sandstone paired with three Savina matelasse Euro shams in Wheat and the Isabella sheets in white to coordinate with the drapes, wall color and rug in my room. And the set not only looks amazing but feels BEYOND amazing. It feels like getting into a super fancy hotel bed at the end of the day, which makes us head up to our room at like, 8 pm every night.
I love the detail on the sheets- it’s just a touch of sweetness but not so much it feels frilly. And the thickness and sheen on all the bedding is SO luxurious!
The matelasse shams add a little color and texture to the white faux leather headboard.
And yes, I let my smelly, slightly dirty little lovebugs on the bed even with super nice bedding. It’s life, and there is no way I won’t snuggle this darling face every night for the sake of my bedding. I simply spot treat any marks and wash the duvet when needed- oh, and a PSA-DO NOT USE BLEACH ON BEDDING WITH A COLORED BORDER! I thought this was obvious until Andrew, trying to be helpful, did that and ruined our last duvet. :)
Here are some of the other bedding styles available in the Luxe collection- doesn’t it make you want to get back in bed? After getting zero sleep last night thanks to pregnancy, I sure do!!!
