One of the best parts of my job is getting to meet fabulous, interesting people and watch their lives and careers shift and develop all while crafting their homes.  One such client (whose spaces you’ll see in the next few months) left her corporate job to develop a fabulous new way to shop online based on body type and shape.  As a personal stylist (yes, I do also do that) people hire me to tell them what looks good on them but not everyone has the luxury of such help- which is where this new site steps in!

ModaMi is a new online personalized shopping experience designed to help you shop by body type and find clothes that truly flatter your figure. To get started, just choose one of the body shapes that most closely matches your body (they believe every body is beautiful and make selecting your body type super easy). Then choose what you’re shopping for and your budget. From there, ModaMi will show you clothes that will help you look your best without breaking your bank.

Professional shoppers and stylists know that your body shape often determines which clothes look best on you. ModaMi has baked the wisdom of professional shoppers and stylists into their proprietary search technology to help you find what will work for you. No more wading through thousands of options that miss the mark. Just the best selections that will make you look your best, along with an explanation for why it works. And like any good friend and honest shopping companion,  ModaMi will gently steer you away from pieces that won’t do you any favors. The end result is a wardrobe selected just for you, designed to help you look and feel your best.

So I’m psyched to share that ModaMi is offering Elements of Style readers exclusive access to their service while it is still in its Beta phase.  What’s a Beta, you ask ( wasn’t very sure)?  Beta is simply a technology term used to indicate that the software or service is not yet final. You’re getting a sneak peek! I went on to give it a try and shopped my body type (martini- broad shoulders tend to give me issues) and here are some of the fab things that came back as flattering to my build:

1. Loving this Emerson Fry coat for winter  2.Would love this dress for my New Years trip to Aruba  3. Fitted faux leather pants are great for those who want attention drawn south of the waist!  4. The sleeveless turtleneck fit dress is GENIUS for girls with broad shoulders  5. More leather, in the form of a short skirt again showing off the legs  6. This sheer stripe top is perfect for layering  7. The peplum bottom of this Tory sweater balances out broad shoulders (adding a skinny belt would be awesome) 8. Loving camo skinny pants paired with heels!

ModaMi will be adding new features and retailers to the site in the coming weeks. Now, they are at a point where they want to give actual users a chance to interact with the site and provide their feedback (that’s where you come in). They’d love to know what you think is working, and what you think needs more work, what you love and what you could do without.   They’ve made giving feedback easy within the site, so let them know what you think. Be honest!

To access simply click on this link– will know you are coming from EOS and provide you with exclusive access to the site.  If you go directly to ModaMi.com and it asks for a code, just enter “EOSModamiBeta” (no spaces) and you’ll be ready to use the site.
