New Design New England

This local magazine is fast becoming my favorite Boston design go-to. It’s a mix of traditional Boston Brahmin style but with a very clean, modern take and some suprisingly sleek spaces. These three images are in the newest issue, the above two are of a Brookline, MA kitchen re-done by Carlos Salib, a local designer. I love the use of the Cole & Sons paper below the counter tops! And take a peak at that custom brick oven! Also pretty genius are the blown up images of silverware surrounding the skylight.

Below is the living room of house on a 300 year old horse farm that was redone by interior designer Sarah Spongberg in a very rustic modern way. They tried to use as much material from the original structures as possible to create an eco-friendly and harmonious space. The floors are radiant heat concrete and walls are pine boards salvaged from the original house.
