Western Wonder- Dream House in L.A.

Betsy Burnham’s design for an L.A. couple featured in this month’s Western Interiors & Design is simply to die for. Partially because she used the same exact fabric I’m making pillows out of (Brunschwig’s Dzhambul) as window treatments, but also due to her adept mix of bright colors in such a skillful way as to not make it look garish or overdone. Subtle but strong patterns rule here, from the Rug Company floor coverings to the bedding and upholstery and small punches of whimsy (notice the bright orange chandelier and the pink ikat chair?) make it fun but restrained.
Simply love it.
