For the past few weeks, I’ve been planning something so fun and I’ve been so anxious for this day to arrive so I could finally share it with you!! Over the next two weeks, I’ll be hosting my first ever reader challenge! I have really been wanting to do something fun WITH you all and want to see the absolutely fabulous ideas and thoughts that you all have been sharing in the comments over the years.
This challenge is going to be an amazing way to share your savvy, ingenious, or just plain beautiful ideas with not only me, but with each other and the rest of my readers as well. Want to get involved? Keep reading for the details!
This idea came to mind because I have more corks than I know what to do with. I am a big wine drinker and have been collecting corks over the past 5 years. I was pulling my hair out trying to thinking of something cool and useful to do with them and I got to thinking… I’d bet YOU all have some pretty amazing ideas. I always share my ideas with you, but I love the idea of you being able to share with me! Being involved in a challenge always sparks the best ideas for me. There is something about being up against a deadline or a certain expectation that always yields my best work. Do you know what I mean?
Create a project of your own using wine corks. If you want to create a tutorial, that’s awesome, if you just want to make something and share it, that is awesome as well! You have the next two weeks to brainstorm, create, and photograph your project before getting your buns back here and share it with the world on April 27th.
I’ll post my own project that day and then open it up to you! There will be a handy widget where you can upload a photo and the link to the post. If you don’t have a blog, you can still party with us! Just snap a picture on Instagram and use the hashtag #earnestchallenge2015. Of course, if you share on the blog, you should also post on Insta using the hashtag as well.
Here is another fun part… Since I clearly have a cork problem (but not a wine problem, let’s make that clear) I will be selecting a few of your projects and making them with my assortment of corks! Then I’ll feature your project and mine on the blog throughout May! You’ll never wonder what to do with wine corks again!
Let the games begin!
