Hello Friday! Are you as happy to see the weekend as I am? It’s been a busy work week and I’ve been eager to just sit back and relax over the weekend. I’m in full on nesting/baby preparation mode and have been going a mile a minute to get everything settled, loose ends tied up, and feel at ease with the upcoming transition. I am a planner by nature, so although I know that babies don’t live by our plans, just having the organization in the first place makes me breathe a little easier.
This week, I’ve been seeing little glimpses of (gasp) fall here and there. Maybe it’s that kids are heading back to school or maybe it’s just me knowing that it will be fall when I come out on the other side of having this baby and spending a few weeks in hibernation.
Regardless, soothing blues and natural hues (I rhyme) really help the transition from high summer into late summer/early fall.
The List Week 31
No. 1 TEXTURED – I just got this Nate Berkus ceramic vase for my dining room shelving (reveal coming up next week!) and love the way it’s neutral, but adds a big punch of texture and dimension to my styled shelving.
No. 2 SIMPLE MODERN – If you’re one of those people (like me) who loves modern design, but has a hard time integrating it in your house, this leather and teak chair is a really wonderful piece. The lines are all modern, but the warm hue and supple leather seem very down-to-earth.
No. 3 DYE LOVE – This dye effect pillow is just gorgeous! It’s beautiful and a steal at just under $30.
No. 4 EASY FIND – I have this giant tassel keychain and people ALWAYS ask me where I got it. The tentacle-like leather strands make it really really easy to find in the bottom of a purse. Also, how fabulous of a gift would this be. I’m thinking on stocking up on a few (another gasp) Christmas gifts right now while my brain is thinking clearly.
No. 5 GREAT DOME OF A DEAL – Why are glass domes always pricy? I don’t know, but Ikea has a few sizes right now from $9-$12, so you can avoid the price tag of the other expensive versions.
