The List Week 24
I think you can really tell from the vibe here what kind of mood I’m in today… It’s been in the 90’s this week, so I’m dreaming of a day by the pool, since a beach is a good 12 hours in any direction. It’s supposed to be nice all weekend, so I’m really looking forward to soaking it all in.
This was probably my first normal week back at work since we returned from our European vacation. You’ll probably remember that we celebrated my mother-in-laws wedding the week we returned, then the very next day Matt’s grandma went into the hospital. While she was slowing getting worse, Matt had eye surgery and I had to drive him to and from work. All the while we were dealing with applying to nursing homes and the whole rigamarole that goes along with that (let me just tell you, I’ll be looking into long-term care insurance for myself). Then Eloise passed and last week we and the burial and got together with family to celebrate the life of a wonderful woman.
So this week, I was finally back in 100% action. I felt like I got SO much done. I’m working on a new project which is kind of a secret right now, but I should (hopefully) be able to tell you guys by the end of June… so that is really exciting. When it comes to this full week, however, do you want to know what piqued my interest?

AND POOF! I really like this poof adorned basket which looks like the best thing to throw bulky beach items into. And it’s collapsable for when it’s not in use! $88 from Eliza Gran Studio.
LEARNING TO UKE: I announced a summer challenge this week and I am SO excited with all of the amazing feedback I’ve received! It seems people are really excited! Today is the day we all reveal what it is we’ll be learning, and I’m here to tell you, I’ll be learning to play the Ukulele (small terrible video after the jump!). Please – join in with me on a summer of learning! See the full plan here and get out there TODAY on social media and tell us what you’ll be learning – use the hashtag #earnestchallenge so that everyone participating can follow along… because we all need an accoutabili-buddy.
CHIC SPLURGE: How gorgeous is this rattan sofa from Serena and Lily? I love every square inch of it. I don’t think it would really fit into my house, but would it fit in yours? If so, you should get it and then invite me over!
INDIGO NATION: I have been on an indigo kick (and in ‘kick’ I mean, I share it a lot here) but for whatever reason don’t own a ton. That’s going to have to change asap. I think these Baja shorts from Mollusk are just the ticket. A big thanks to Megan for introducing them to me.
JUST PEACHY: So, Matt and I are in the midst of a Whole 30 and aren’t drinking, but you better believe that every fruity, herbal, summer concoction I see online is killing me. I’m going to fall face first into this peach sangria from Erin Gleeson via Camille Styles as soon as it’s over.
Whew… that was a lot from me. What’s going on with you this weekend? Any amazing plans to share?
